Problem Note 20693: Unable to sort on column in multiple tables using SAS® Enterprise Guide®
The following message might be displayed when trying to sort on a column
in the Query Builder within SAS Enterprise Guide.
Unable to sort by column_name. This item has already been added to
the list to sort by.
This will most likely occur when joining two or more tables and
attempting to sort on the same column in different tables. This
functionality was allowed in SAS Enterprise Guide 2.x and 3.x, but
causes the above message in SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1.
If you need to sort on the same column in different tables, you can work
around the problem by using multiple queries. In the first query,
perform the join and sort and use a a second query to sort on the
duplicate column in the second table.
